The value of holiday vouchers issued between January and August 2018 reached EUR 223 million, a value 7.7 times higher than in 2017, according to data recently released by the National Association of Travel Agencies in Romania, ANAT.
The value of holiday vouchers for August is EUR 17.1 million, with approximately 1.3 million paper tickets issued, worth EUR 14.1 million, and over 264,000 vouchers on electronic support, worth EUR 3 million.
June was the month with the highest value of holiday vouchers issued, EUR 125 million.
„Electronic holiday vouchers, whose use considerably reduces the bureaucracy of the entire process, represent only about 10% of the total number of those issued between January and August. Their number, 850,000, is however 11 times higher than in 2017,” state ANAT representatives.
