ANAT: Bookings have increased, approaching 2019 levels

At the current time, vacations in Romania can proceed without issues, as restrictions have been eliminated both for domestic tourism and for Romanians returning from other countries or foreigners arriving in our country. More and more countries have completely dropped restrictions or are about to do so, such as France, Spain, Italy (from April 1), Greece, Great Britain, Israel, or Jordan.

The National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT) notes a recovery in Romanian tourists’ bookings, approaching the level of 2019. The events in Ukraine affected bookings at the end of February and in the first part of March.

The elimination of restrictions in Romania has contributed enormously to the increase in tourism demand. Tourists are opting for both international and domestic destinations.

Until March 31, tourists can still benefit from special early booking offers.
