Airlines Cancel Flights Due to Lack of Operating Capacity

Blue Air

The aviation industry is no longer able to meet recruitment needs after being forced to lay off thousands of employees in previous periods. The blame game regarding responsibility for the outbreak of the capacity crisis has already begun.

Blue Air is also facing flight cancellations. Flights postponed until October 2022 are:

  • Bucharest – Birmingham (until October 1)
  • Bucharest – Munich (until October 1)
  • Iasi – Brussels (until October 1)
  • Bucharest – Frankfurt (until October 2)
  • Bucharest – Liverpool (until October 2)
  • Iasi – Dublin (until October 3)
  • Cluj Napoca – Paris CDG (until October 3)
  • Iasi – Dusseldorf (until October 4)
  • Bacau – Madrid (from June 30 – until October 5)
  • Cluj Napoca – Madrid (until October 20)
  • Bucharest – Oradea (until October 30)
  • Bucharest – Rome FCO (until October 30)
  • Bucharest – Timisoara (until October 30)
  • Bucharest – Zaragoza (until October 30)
  • Cluj Napoca – Amsterdam (until October 30)
  • Cluj Napoca – London LTN (until October 30)
  • Iasi – Munich (until October 30)

Many flights have also been canceled in the UK. British Airways canceled 124 flights from Heathrow Airport.

EasyJet canceled 35 flights and WizzAir 20 in turn.

The main cause is the excessive demand for the current capacity of the airlines.

In Italy, 81 ITA Airways flights were canceled, especially from the Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Linate bases.

Flights to Paris-CDG, Brussels, Geneva, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, and London from Milan are heavily affected.

On June 8, domestic connections were also affected by the strike in Italy. The solution found was for larger aircraft to operate on several national and international flights, so that as many passengers as possible could be transported.
