A New Round of the DiscoverEU Program for Youth Has Begun
Starting April 7, young Europeans can register to receive DiscoverEU travel passes, which will allow them to travel for free in the European Union, primarily by train. Those who acquire these travel passes will also receive a discount card for public transport, accommodation, food, and other services.
Starting this year, the DiscoverEU initiative has joined the Erasmus+ program, involving EU states along with Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Turkey.
In total, 35,000 travel passes will be available in the first registration round of 2022, which will take place between April 7 and 21.
To be selected, eligible candidates—young people born between July 1, 2003, and June 30, 2004—must complete the registration form available on the initiative’s website and answer a quiz.
Selected youth will be able to travel in Europe for a period of up to 30 days between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023.
