Wizz Air to Raise Approximately £103 Million from London IPO

On February 25, the airline Wizz Air listed on the London Stock Exchange, with the company’s share price at 11.5 GBP per unit, giving the company a market capitalization of 601 million GBP following the initial public offering, Wizz Air announced. In the initial public offering, Wizz Air sold 23,360,008 shares.
The net amount received by Wizz Air following the public offering will be approximately 103 million GBP, according to a company statement.
Admission to the premium segment and the main trading market of the London Stock Exchange, as well as the start of unconditional trading, will take place on March 2.
Revenues for the first nine months of fiscal year 2015 (March-December 2014) increased by 22% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, to 992 million EUR, while EBITDAR profit increased by 38%, to 305 million EUR.
The number of passengers transported between March and December 2014 increased by 18%, to 12.7 million.
Wizz Air operates in 37 countries and has 18 bases in ten countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The company provides flights to 106 destinations.
