Wizz Air opens a new base in Romania

Wizz Air airline announced that this autumn it will open its seventh base in Romania in Bacău. Thus, starting October 29, 2020, the operator will allocate two Airbus A320 aircraft to the Bacău airport and will launch 12 new routes to six countries from this location. This would be Wizz Air’s 31st base.

The two Airbus A320 aircraft will support the operations of 12 new routes to: Turin, Venice Treviso, Bologna, Rome Fiumicino, Milan Bergamo, Catania (Italy), Larnaca (Cipru), London Luton, Liverpool (UK), Memmingen/Munich West (Germany), Billund (Denmark), and Brussels Charleroi (Belgium). Additionally, Wizz Air is resuming operations from its bases in Timișoara, Craiova, and Sibiu, which were suspended in the spring due to pandemic restrictions.
