Dozens of hotels, several restaurants, and clubs on the Romanian seaside were inspected by ISU Dobrogea representatives, who issued fines and hundreds of warnings.
Thus, between June 10-16, inspections were carried out in 66 tourism and public catering facilities in the Black Sea resorts, including 27 tourism units, 31 restaurants and clubs, as well as 8 other facilities.
ISU representatives identified 451 issues and applied 402 sanctions, specifically 332 warnings and 70 administrative fines totaling 185,500 RON.
Among the most frequently mentioned findings in the inspection documents are:
• failure to draft and/or approve the intervention plan at some tourism units;
• failure to ensure the employment of a technical framework or specialized personnel with fire protection duties;
• failure to maintain the operational status of electrical installations for emergency lighting for evacuation in case of fire, for marking indoor fire hydrants, and for intervention in the boiler room;
• lack of verification of existing technical fire protection equipment (extinguishers) in some tourism structures, in accordance with technical regulations;
