Update: Radisson enters Romania with a new brand

The Radisson Hotel Group will operate the first hotel project in Bucharest by developer Hagag Development Europe, which will operate under the Radisson RED brand. In this context, Hagag has recently started the authorization procedures for the renovation and conversion of its building located at 5-7 Vasile Lascăr Street, in the center of the capital.

The project involves an investment of more than €13 million and involves the conversion of an office building built around 1940, known locally as the former headquarters of the Institute of Hydroelectric Studies (ISPH). The former office labyrinth in the historic Old Town area is currently being designed and is to be fully renovated and modernized to accommodate a total of 104 rooms, offering future guests a unique mix of modern amenities complemented by the historic charm of the building and the area alike.

The new Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town will be the first Radisson RED property in Romania and in Bucharest, a city that the Group has identified as a key location for growth and development.

The Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town will feature a restaurant and bar, a generous lobby with dedicated co-working space, terrace and versatile meeting spaces. On the upper level, the hotel will feature a multi-purpose room and a pop-up venue area designed to host meetings, events, product launches and social events. In addition, guests will have access to a fitness area for a complete experience.

Radisson RED is an upper upscale hotel brand with a modern take on the conventional. The brand brings a fresh vibe to the hospitality industry through informal service where anything goes, in a vibrant social setting, with elegant public spaces where the focus is on aesthetics and quality that aim to inspire, visit after visit. Radisson RED hotels are designed to cater to the needs of guests, giving them the opportunity to disconnect and reconnect with the everyday whenever they feel the need, regardless of the purpose of their visit.
