Unita Hotels: EUR 11 million rebranding in tourism

The 100% Romanian-owned hotel group UNITA Turism Holding has announced the launch of an extensive rebranding process under the new identity UNITA HOTELS. The transition is supported by an investment plan worth EUR 11 million, aimed at modernizing and digitalizing the entire portfolio of accommodation units.

The official presentation event of the new brand identity took place on Friday, June 12, in the presence of representatives from the HoReCa and tourism sectors, as well as the PSD deputy mayor, Costin Răsăuțeanu. The company’s new strategy aims to standardize services and promote local hospitality across all destinations in the network.

The EUR 11 million investment plan is directed towards modernizing accommodation spaces and common areas, digitalization, and energy efficiency. In this regard, UNITA HOTELS has also launched a new web platform for direct bookings. According to the statement of Marc Eichert, Chairman of the Board of Directors, the rebranding represents a natural step in the company’s evolution in a Romanian hotel market with high development potential.

Founded in the early 2000s by Josef Goschy, who transferred assets from the insurance sector to the hotel sector, the chain currently operates 9 accommodation units, totaling over 2,100 beds. The portfolio includes the Amiral, Comandor, and Orfeu hotels in Mamaia, Moldova in Iași, Belvedere in Cluj-Napoca, Sarmis in Deva, Traian in Brăila, Egreta in Tulcea, and Flora in Lacu Sărat. The network also includes restaurants, bars, and facilities for corporate or institutional events.
