Tourists to Pay Tourism Promotion Tax in Mamaia Nord and Navodari

Starting this summer, those coming to the seaside in Mamaia Nord and Navodari will pay a resort tax of 1%, excluding VAT, of the accommodation rate for each night, and tourists will pay it to the tourism operator. The amounts will be used for tourism promotion.

Economic operators on the coast hope this will lead to the development of the resort. This is because a large part of the money collected through this tax will be used specifically for promoting the destination, both at domestic and international events.

Since 2021, such a tax in the amount of 5 RON/day has been introduced in the resorts of Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Neptun, and Olimp.
