Tourism Minister submits documents to Finance Ministry for 9% VAT reduction for travel agencies

The Minister of Tourism, Mircea Titus Dobre, announced that on April 3rd he will submit to the Ministry of Finance the necessary documents for the reduction of VAT to 9% for products sold by travel agencies, followed by the start of procedures with the European Commission in this regard.
 
“The procedure is as follows: the Ministry of Tourism will make the proposal to the Ministry of Finance. I had a discussion in principle with them. Documentation must be submitted to the European Commission, then we must wait for their response,” stated Mircea Titus Dobre.
