AirlineRatings.com analyzed 385 different air carriers and identified 20 of the safest companies in this industry for 2022.
To create the ranking, factors such as the number of serious incidents over the last two years, the age of the flight crew and aircraft, government-level audits, and, last but not least, COVID-19 safety protocols were taken into account.
Air New Zealand reached the top of the rankings due to a series of improvements in safety parameters since the last report, through the use of systems that allow real-time engine monitoring, as well as the implementation of a new navigation system.
