The promenade from Mangalia to the Olimp resort, named Aleea Teilor, will be modernized using European funds. Alongside this project, the Mangalia City Hall has another project to develop a park on the site of a former concrete plant, the city’s main source of pollution.
The two projects have a value of 34.5 million RON and are carried out within the Regional Operational Program, Priority Axis 5, “Sustainable development and promotion of tourism”, Intervention Domain 5.2 – “Creation, development, modernization of tourism infrastructure for the capitalization of natural resources and increasing the quality of tourism services”.
The rehabilitation project of Aleea Teilor is part of a complex program to develop a pedestrian promenade between Mangalia and Olimp, covering a distance of 9 km.
Currently, the Mangalia City Hall is conducting the legal bidding procedures for awarding the execution contracts for the two projects.
According to the documentation, the works must be completed by the end of this year.
