The Danube Delta and Dobrogea will have their own brands and will be promoted on the domestic and international markets

The Danube Delta and Dobrogea will have their own brands and will be promoted on the domestic and international markets with visual identities that will be built by the end of next year, through a project in which local authorities from the Dobrogea and Danube Delta areas have joined forces, together with representatives of accommodation structures in the area.
Their representatives say they do not want mass tourists in the Delta, interested in barbecues and all-inclusive packages.
Catalin Tibuleac, president of the Danube Delta Tourism Destination Management Association (AMDTDD), stated that in the next year and a half, two brands and two different visual identities will be created, one for the Danube Delta itself, and another for the whole of Dobrogea, which will also include the Delta, so that this area can be promoted in a unified and coherent way.
In the coming year, the association will draft the development-promotion strategy, and everything, including the brands and visual identity, will be ready towards the end of 2020. Meanwhile, the association will transform into a Destination Management Organization when the law allows it.
Tibuleac also said that promotion will be done selectively, especially in the case of the Delta, which is not suitable for mass tourism. Tourists passionate about barbecues and fascinated by the all-inclusive concept, who fill the southern coast, are less desired in the Delta.
The association representative also said that the Romanian state, through the entities that managed tourism, has hardly promoted the Danube Delta and Dobrogea at all until now, nor have other associations that assumed the so-called promotion of the Delta.
