The Calcan family is building a new hotel; Peștera Wellness & Spa will be a 5-star hotel located next to the current Hotel Peștera in the Peștera-Padina tourist resort.
Design began in the summer of 2020, and the owners estimate they will invest approximately EUR 15 million to ensure the new hotel meets a 5-star standard.
The owners decided to expand the hotel space as they sensed the area’s potential and received numerous requests from tourists. Consequently, on June 27, 2022, they laid the foundation stone for the new Peștera Wellness & Spa Hotel, the first 5-star hotel in Dâmbovița County, next to the existing structure.
The new project, set to open on June 27, 2024, will feature all the amenities and facilities of a five-star hotel.
The Calcan family is concurrently working on setting up a sledding slope and aims to invest an additional EUR 5 million by 2027 in other facilities necessary for the area’s tourism development: Hanul Peștera and Cascada Ialomiței Pension.
