As every year, in the last week of January, the Restocracy Awards for the best restaurants in Bucharest in the year just ended are presented. This year we had a double award gala, because the awards for the Top Restocracy of Dishes 2019 competition were given at the same time.
The Restocracy Awards Gala took place on Sunday, January 26, at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, in the presence of over 250 guests, including one hundred managers of the most important restaurants, over twenty foreign ambassadors, journalists, business personalities and from other fields, members of the Food Top juries, sponsors and their guests, of course.

Nokia Awards
HMD Global, the company that holds the Nokia license for phones, offered two awards to the participating head chefs in the competition, one Nokia 7.2 phone with a 48 MP camera each for the most interesting and original photograph of a dish (plate). The awards were won by the head chefs from Dancing Lobster and Red Angus.
