The National Road Investment Company (CNIR) has received 15 bids in the tender procedure for the design and construction of the high-speed road that will connect Otopeni Airport with the Bucharest Ring Road (A0 North). The contract has an estimated value of approximately EUR 86.83 million, excluding VAT, and aims at a modern infrastructure designed for the rapid transit of passengers and cargo to the airport’s future Terminal 2 and the Cargo area.
The project has a completion duration of 30 months, structured into 6 months for design and 24 months for the execution of works. The route of the express road will have a length of 2.55 kilometers and will be located in Ilfov County, on the territory of the Tunari administrative-territorial unit (UAT). It will branch off from kilometer 29 of the A0 Motorway through a cloverleaf interchange and will include ramps with a total length of 7.5 kilometers, overpasses over DJ 200 B and A0 North, as well as a connection to the county road DJ 200 B Tunari – A0 – Balotești made through a roundabout.
