Also, starting with the summer season, TAROM will operate on the Timisoara – Cluj Napoca route with a frequency of 3 weekly flights.
TAROM transported in 2017 only 2.4 million passengers, a traffic volume similar to 2016 and 2015.
Tarom’s decision to introduce flights on this route comes after Blue Air gave up flights on the Timisoara – Iasi – Cluj route in February due to frictions created by the Traian Vuia International Airport in Timisoara.
Recently, Ryanair also announced that it will give up its base in Timisoara, where it had allocated one aircraft, starting March 25.
