TAROM Shareholders Decided in March to Increase Share Capital by 6.98 Million RON

In March of this year, TAROM shareholders decided to increase the share capital by 6.98 million RON, divided into 2.79 million shares with a nominal value of 2.50 RON/share, according to a Decision of the EGMS (Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders).
TAROM shareholders are: The Romanian State – 97.22%, SIF Muntenia – 0.08%, Romatsa – 1.24%, Bucharest National Airports Company – 1.46%.
In 2006, the Government gave the green light to the Ministry of Finance for the acquisition of 4 new aircraft from Airbus, after TAROM had tried to sell the A310 aircraft, but without success. The average price paid by the Romanian state was 40 million USD per aircraft.
Last year, the company stated that there are still installments to be repaid until January 2019 for the loans contracted for only 2 A318 aircraft.
