Sphera Franchise Group, the largest foodservice operator in Romania, which manages the Taco Bell brand under franchise, is expanding its network by opening its fifth unit in Bucharest, in Plaza Romania. The chain of Mexican-inspired restaurants continues its expansion on the local market, reaching a portfolio of 16 units nationwide. The new Taco Bell restaurant is located in the Food Court area, on the 2nd floor of the Plaza Romania shopping center, located at Bulevardul Timișoara 26, sector 6, Bucharest. Customers can serve their meals in the food court or opt for takeaway. Taco Bell entered the local market in 2017 and is the third brand in the Sphera Franchise Group portfolio, alongside KFC and Pizza Hut. The launch also marked the South Californian brand’s entry into Central and Eastern Europe, at the time being the only Taco Bell restaurant within a 1,208-kilometer radius. The brand now has 16 establishments in 10 cities across the country: five in Bucharest, two in Brasov, two in Constanta and one each in Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Timisoara, Timisoara, Ploiesti, Bacau, Iasi and Craiova.
