The investment fund RC2, controlled by the entrepreneur Ion Florescu, is selling the Zenith Conference & Spa Hotel in Mamaia to the Steaua de Mare Hotels & Resorts group, one of the most important operators on the Romanian coast, owned by the Anda and Mihai Răducanu family, and is thus strengthening its presence in the resort of Mamaia.
Steaua de Mare Hotels & Resorts is adding the four-star hotel to its portfolio, which also includes the Aqvatonic Balneo Spa & Hotel, Meduza and Delfinul in Eforie Nord, Tomis in Mamaia and the Oltenia and Muntenia resorts in Olimp. According to local media, Anda Răducanu is the daughter of Nicolae Bucovală, president of the Mamaia Constanta Constanta Employers’ Organization and first vice-president of the Federation of Romanian Tourism Employers. The seller, the RC2 investment fund, has in the past had investments in the paint manufacturer Policolor and the debt recovery company Top Factoring. Hotel Zenith is located in the northern part of Mamaia, close to the beach and the Palas, Pelican and Dorna hotels.
