Sibiu to Enter European Best Destinations 2020 Competition

The Municipality of Sibiu, the only Romanian tourist city holding 3 Michelin stars, will compete for a spot in the Top 20 European tourist destinations 2020, a competition for which it has already been preselected.
According to a Local Council decision adopted on Thursday, Sibiu will enter the European Best Destinations 2020 competition. Cities included in this top list have enjoyed an increase in the number of tourists, with percentages ranging between 13% and 25%, as stated in the Sibiu Local Council decision.
In 2007, Sibiu was the European Capital of Culture, and this year it holds the status of European Region of Gastronomy.
