Scala Boutique Hotel put up for sale by auction

The Scala Boutique Hotel, located in central Bucharest, has been put up for sale through Artmark Historical Estate.
The auction will start at EUR 2.15 million, and the organizers estimate a final price between EUR 2.3 and 2.5 million.
The building was constructed by Doctor Moscu at the end of World War I, in 1920, according to the plans of architect Gheorghe Simotta.
The architect designed over 120 projects dating from the interwar period, most of which are located in Bucharest: the Patriarchal Residence, Darvari Hermitage, Gomoiu Hospital, and numerous villas, collective housing, and funerary monuments in Bellu Cemetery.
Doctor Moscu’s property in the heart of the capital became the Scala Boutique Hotel, which opened in 2010 following an extensive rehabilitation, modernization, and restoration project that lasted approximately three years.
Currently, the hotel, which features 20 rooms and a usable area of 764 sqm, offers 10 rooms and one apartment, some of which are equipped with a balcony or loggia.
