Currently, Russia is a priority for the strategy of attracting foreign tourists to Romania, especially for balneo, SPA, and wellness, stated the president of the National Authority for Tourism (ANT), Anca Pavel-Nedea.
„Russian tourists are extraordinary consumers for everything related to balneo, wellness, and specific cosmetics — anti-aging treatments, complex aesthetic treatments. They are willing to pay a lot to come and recreate, staying for two to three weeks. Russians exhibit loyal customer behavior; if they come once and like it, they return. Compared to other consumers from other emerging markets, Russian tourists visit several times a year. There are many positive aspects for which we must attract them through dedicated packages,” stated the NAT president.
Additionally, spiritual tourism has great potential for attracting Russian visitors because they are religious and desire monastery circuits.
