Romexpo intends to contract a 55 million RON loan to complete expansion works started in 2008

The company managing the Romexpo exhibition complex wants to contract an investment loan worth 55 million RON from Libra Internet Bank to complete the construction of two new exhibition pavilions.
The loan will be guaranteed by mortgages on several buildings, bank accounts, and future income from rental contracts.
The Romexpo expansion and modernization project began in 2008, aiming to increase the gross exhibition area by 36,000 sqm, but works were delayed by the economic crisis. At that time, the investment value was estimated at 36 million EUR.
The works were relaunched nearly 2 years ago, and the new pavilions will function both as exhibition spaces and as event, congress, meeting, and conference centers.
Last year, the General Mayor of the Capital, Gabriela Firea, stated that the central pavilion of Romexpo will be transformed into a multipurpose hall with 15,000 seats, locker rooms, boxes, and all the necessary facilities for organizing sports events.
