The “Marea Neagra” Psychological Center has inaugurated a therapeutic beach located in the Mamaia resort, intended for all categories of people with disabilities. The area is located in the center of the resort, in the Casino area, and covers an area of 2,000 sqm, with an investment of 45,000 EUR.
According to a press release from the “Marea Neagra” Psychological Center, the therapeutic beach addresses the five human senses, which are thus directly stimulated. “It is not just a simple arranged beach, it is a true artistic creation. The entire concept represents a story drawn on the sand at the seashore. All elements have been combined so that every person arriving here feels joy and peace,” said psychologist Adrian Gemanaru, the project’s initiator.
In this area, a beach of aromas has been set up, where each person has the opportunity to guess over 20 smells and essences. There is also a bamboo musical instrument, with a surface of over 20 sqm, and children can create their own melodies by hitting the bamboo sticks. The beach is also equipped with two vertical glass panels, which can be painted by 16 children at the same time, using various methods, with a brush, sponge, or fingers, and a pottery workshop.
Access to the entire beach sector and participation in the workshops are free.
