The National Administration “Romanian Waters” announces that this year the Romanian coast will have nearly 53 hectares of new beach, spanning 6,950 linear meters.
The largest project in the last 50 years, valued at over 800 million EUR, is in full swing. It is being carried out along the entire Romanian coast, from north to south, across 11 zones over 3 years, specifically until 2023. In the next three years, another 11 beach sectors will be expanded by over 200 hectares. These include the Edighiol/Periboina dams, Mamaia, Tomis-Cazino, Agigea, and Eforie beaches in Phase I, and Costinesti, Olimp, Jupiter-Neptun, Balta Mangalia-Venus-Aurora, Mangalia-Saturn, and 2 Mai beaches in Phase II, according to the Ministry of Environment.
