The National Authority for Tourism, ANT, will enter into a partnership with Google, on whose platforms it will upload free films and other projects created by the authorities for the tourism promotion of Romania, with similar agreements to be carried out with Facebook and YouTube.
Anca Pavel-Nedea, president of ANT, stated that the authority is effectively working on drafting the agreement, which does not involve money—it is free—but rather the uploading of all information. ANT will provide data, for example, all information related to the Wine Road, images, and films that were produced using European funds to promote strategic tourist attractions, spa resorts, etc. In turn, Google will provide the platforms and the information and programs they have.
After the implementation of this agreement, it will be identified whether there is potential for other such projects to be developed together with Google.
All this information uploaded to Google platforms will be visible worldwide, which is very important for promotion.
The president of ANT specified that by the end of the year, some of the owned projects and films will be uploaded, and by spring, this part of the information exchange must be completed.
Additionally, ANT officials plan to conclude similar agreements with Facebook and YouTube, with whom discussions are to be held.
