Romania and Poland Partner to Attract Asian Tourists

Tourism Minister Bogdan Trif says he has agreed with his Polish counterpart, Witold Banka, to promote joint circuits in Romania and Poland to attract tourists from Asia to castles and medieval fortresses on the UNESCO monument list.
The minister specified that he met with Witold Banka at the end of May and held bilateral discussions where a tourism collaboration between Poland and Romania was established. It was also decided then to meet in Bucharest to establish the common routes between Poland and Romania.
“We have outlined two routes – the UNESCO monuments route and the medieval castles and fortresses route. Both countries excel in these two sectors, and through this collaboration, we will attract more tourists, especially from the Asian market. We know they have a certain characteristic, namely that they travel and do not stay more than two days in the same place. And through this offer, I believe we are meeting their needs, so that Romania and Poland become an attractive tourist destination,” stated Bogdan Trif after the meeting with the Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism, Witold Banka.
