Rasova Winery invests EUR 5 million in a hotel

The George and Zoe Ghiuri family, owners of Rasova Winery, intend to expand their business on the banks of the Danube, near Cernavodă, by building a tourist complex estimated at approximately EUR 5 million. The project marks a new stage of development for the wine producer, whose cumulative investments in the winery and viticulture have reached the EUR 15 million threshold to date.

Steps to build the complex have already been initiated by submitting the technical documentation to the Constanța Environmental Protection Agency. The company Rasova Wine SRL aims to draft a Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ) to include a 3.24-hectare plot of land into the buildable area, currently located in the agricultural outskirts of Cernavodă, south of the railway and highway. The site, which is currently free of buildings, is located along the road parallel to the Danube cliff. According to the publication focuspress.ro, the owners are also considering accessing funds to finance the future hotel.

Established in 2010, Rasova Wine SRL is owned by Zoe Ghiuri (85%) and George Ghiuri (15%), both also serving as administrators. The business initially started with an area of 18 hectares of vineyards, later expanded through new plantings and leasing. In 2024, the company reported a turnover of approximately EUR 2.99 million, up 9.40% compared to the previous year.
