Premier Capital Takes Over McDonald’s Operations in Romania

As of January 22, Premier Capital has taken ownership and operations of all 67 McDonald’s restaurants in Romania and the 19 McCafé coffee shops, and will provide the necessary capital to finance the company’s development in Romania.
The transfer to a development partnership structure reflects the brand’s overall turnaround strategy led by President and CEO Steve Easterbrook, which includes the long-term goal of operating 95% of restaurants under a franchise system globally.

Daniel Boaje, currently the General Manager of McDonald’s Romania, will remain in this role within the new partnership.
