The most sought-after holiday destinations this year are the Greek islands, Antalya and Bodrum in Turkey, Tenerife and Mallorca in Spain, and Split in Croatia, according to a study conducted by the tour operator Cocktail Holidays.
During the summer, the company operates over 25 weekly charter flights from the airports in Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, and Bucharest to 20 European destinations in 7 countries. 
In the Moldova region, according to the study, the most popular destinations are Greece, Cyprus, and Spain, with charter flights from Iasi. Moldavian tourists have an average budget of EUR 650/person, and most prefer to travel in large groups with family and friends.
In Transylvania, the most sought-after destinations are in Spain, and the budget allocated by them amounts to EUR 750/person.
Romanians from the south and east of the country choose Bodrum, Tenerife, and the “Ibiza of Greece,” Mykonos, as holiday destinations. 
Charter holidays in Turkey, and especially in the Bodrum area, which Romanians seem to be rediscovering, are the most sought-after in Bucharest.
Bucharest residents are willing to spend an average of EUR 590/person on a stay at all-inclusive hotels and purchase at least one optional excursion, with prices ranging from EUR 25 to 150, the study further shows.
Regarding accommodation units, in the case of Turkey, most requests are for 5-star hotels, while in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and Croatia, tourists prefer 3 and 4-star hotels.
At the national level, the average budget for a seven-night stay at a 4-star hotel, with half board, charter flight transport, transfers, taxes, and medical and travel cancellation insurance, is EUR 530/person.
