The first phase of the Pipera Plaza shopping center will be completed in May this year and will include the largest units in Romania of well-known brands such as Lidl or Starbucks. The project is developed by Alpha Property Group, part of the German group Intercora, one of the largest real estate companies in Central and Eastern Europe, specialized in commercial real estate development, and businessman Marius Ivan.
“The Bucharest North area, and especially the Pipera area, is the current business center of Bucharest which is developing every day and which will take on a new dimension in the coming period. Young people work and live in Pipera, eager to interact, be connected, be inspired, and get to know each other. That is why we are here,“ says businessman Marius Ivan, co-owner of Pipera Plaza.
Who are the Pipera Plaza tenants: from Lidl and Starbucks to Takko and JYSK
The project developed on the site of the former Pipera market is carried out in two stages. In the first stage completed in May 2015, 7,500 sqm will be put into use, with this area expected to double in the fall. A combination of a strip mall and a commercial gallery, the project has already attracted international brands such as Starbucks, Lidl, Sportisimo, Takko, Pepco, or Jysk – but also Romanian brands: Wine Republic, Salad Box, CTS Corner, Dinner Food, FarmaVital, Tip Top, 5ASEC, Pizza Bonita, or Cataleya which have leased spaces in the future shopping center.
The largest Starbucks coffee shop and the largest Lidl
Starbucks is inaugurating the largest coffee shop in Romania in Pipera Plaza, alongside Lidl and Jysk which have chosen to launch their largest locations in Romania here. The developer’s strategy is based on offering a mix that meets the needs of the proximity community. In Pipera Plaza will be found both restaurants and cafes, as well as decoration, clothing, beauty stores, or leisure options. The development strategy also involves a pop-up store space that will be offered for short periods to interested brands. Within it, themed stores can be developed. Every weekend, events and themed fairs will take place: weekend market, organic products fair, Christmas or Easter fair.
