Google Romania has marked 15 years of activity on the local market with an anniversary gala at its headquarters in Bucharest, during which it honored Peles Castle as the most searched tourist destination in the country for 2025. The distinction, accepted by Princess Sofia, highlights the intersection between technology and national cultural heritage.
The event brought together representatives from the technological, cultural and creative worlds to celebrate the innovation and impact of Romanian digital projects. Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness Princess Sofia was welcomed by Elisabeta Moraru, Managing Director of Google Romania. The centerpiece of the gala was the awarding of the prize for Peles Castle, a distinction offered, according to Google representatives, “in appreciation of the historical and cultural value of the Royal Peles Castle, a symbol of national identity and modern Romania”.
