Patrick Carabin has taken over the position of General Manager of the Pullman Bucharest hotel, part of the AccorHotels group. Previously, this position was held by Markus Koller, who currently manages the Novotel Zurich City West hotel.
Before being appointed General Manager of the hotel in Bucharest, Patrick Carabin spent 8 years in Poland, during which time he managed two 5-star hotels in the Sofitel chain: Sofitel Warsaw Victoria and Sofitel Grand Sopot.
Patrick Carabin plans to renovate the rooms and change the interior design. At the same time, he wants to increase the hotel’s occupancy rate from 55% to 70% this year and expand the leisure segment.
“In addition to consolidating our position in the business travel market, which still represents more than 75% of our activity, we have initiated partnerships with travel agencies and local attractions, with the aim of further developing in the tourism segment. We anticipate a 30% growth in this segment in 2016,” stated Patrick Carabin.
