Over RON 161 Million Investment for Two Ski Slopes and a Gondola in the Semenic Mountains

Reșița City Hall has launched a tender for the development of two ski slopes in the Semenic Mountains and the construction of a gondola-type cable transport system, as well as the acquisition of an artificial snow system and the construction of annex buildings (sports equipment rental center, administrative space, Salvamont center with a first aid point).

The project is estimated at RON 161.6 million, excluding VAT, with a duration of 2 years and two months from the date of award.

According to the contracting authority, the project will lead to an improvement in the quality of life in the community, the current state of tourism infrastructure in Caraș-Severin County, living conditions, and labor standards, maintaining and attracting the population to rural areas, as well as improving conditions for practicing winter sports.

The two slopes will have a total length of 7,946 m, and the average width is planned to be approximately 30 m.

The gondola will have an inclined length of 3,834 m, with a vertical drop of 758 m and a transport capacity of at least 2,400 people/hour, in enclosed cabins with benches for 8 people. Bids will be opened in the first part of October.
