Over 60,000 Romanians spent their Pentecost mini-holiday in the resorts on the Black Sea coast, marking a record for the last 25 years for this holiday. They spent approximately EUR 8 million during the Pentecost mini-holiday, exceeding last year’s Pentecost revenues by 33%. 
For the Pentecost offer, rates were 30% lower than those during the peak season. Average rates varied from one comfort category to another, starting from 60 RON/night for a 1-star room, 100 RON for a 2-star room, 150 RON for a 3-star room, and 300 RON for a 4-star room.
 
The most crowded were the structures in the north of the coast – Mamaia and Navodari, but many tourists also reached Vama Veche, a resort also stormed by those coming on holiday with tents.
