Niro Group, controlled by businessman Nicolae Dumitru, which owns the Grand Hotel du Boulevard building near University Square, has started construction of a 4-star hotel on Expozitiei Boulevard in Bucharest. The unit will be completed in 2021, according to company officials.
„We have started work on this project. We are building a large-capacity hotel, over 250 rooms, an upscale business hotel, which will be classified at 4 stars and will specifically target business clients. I believe there is still room for new investments in Bucharest,“ said Florin Suicescu, board member and vice president of Niro Investment, the company that restored the Grand Hotel du Boulevard monument building.
„We haven’t chosen the hotel chain it will be affiliated with yet. We cannot disclose the total investment in this hotel, but I can say we have 60 million EUR for both the modernization of Grand Hotel du Boulevard and the new hotel,” Suicescu stated.
