New Tourist Resorts Certified in Romania

On July 13, the Government adopted the Decision for the approval of the certification of 17 resorts of local interest and one resort of national interest.

Communities that have become tourist resorts can opt to establish a Destination Management Organization at the local level.

The minimum mandatory criteria include the existence of a minimum of 100 accommodation places in classified units.

The new resorts of local interest are:

  • Pecica, Arad County;
  • Marghita, Bihor County;
  • Vadu Crișului, Bihor County;
  • Berzasca, Caraș – Severin County;
  • Coronini, Caraș – Severin County;
  • Mehadia, Caraș – Severin County;
  • Corund, Harghita County;
  • Zetea, Harghita County;
  • Săpânța, Maramureș County;
  • Moldovița, Suceava County;
  • Panaci, Suceava County;
  • Putna, Suceava County;
  • Șaru Dornei, Suceava County;
  • Vama, Suceava County;
  • Deta, Timiș County;
  • Jimbolia, Timiș County;
  • Malaia, Vâlcea County.

There are 54 tourist resorts of national interest and 112 of local interest certified in Romania.
