Monarc secures building permit for Radisson Blu Mamaia

Monarc Development has secured the building permit for Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences Mamaia, the first branded residences project in Romania developed under an international hotel brand. The permit marks the official transition into the development phase of the real estate complex in Constanța, which aims to contribute to transforming the Romanian seaside into an active year-round tourist and business destination.

The project introduces a premium residential concept to the local market, similar to those in renowned international destinations such as the French Riviera, Santorini, Bodrum, Tenerife, or the Adriatic coast. It combines the advantages of private ownership with the specific services of the Radisson Blu hotel chain. Owners will benefit from professional property management, access to hotel facilities, and the option to integrate their properties into a hotel rental program when not using them for personal purposes.

The new complex will comprise 234 hotel rooms and 102 branded residences. Included facilities feature a spa & wellness center, an indoor pool, an infinity pool, a fitness center, and a private beach. Additionally, the project will integrate one of the largest conference and event halls in Constanța, aiming to attract the corporate and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment. According to Alexandru Manea, CEO and founder of Monarc Mamaia Sunset S.A., the developer is set to launch the preparatory phases for starting construction and will continue presenting the project to investors and strategic partners.
