Mercure Portile de Fier Riviera Hotel & Resort to Open in 2023

A new Mercure hotel will open on the banks of the Danube, in Gura Vaii, which is part of the municipality of Drobeta Turnu-Severin, following the signing of a franchise agreement.

The hotel’s launch will take place in 2023, in the third quarter, after it is renovated and will be operated by Queens Horeca Management.

The accommodation capacity will be 70 rooms, and facilities include a restaurant, a bar, a Privilege lounge, a 250 sqm conference room, two boardrooms and a foyer, a 300 sqm SPA & wellness area, and an outdoor pool.

Through this agreement for the new hotel, the Accor network will be strengthened in the southwestern part of Romania, considered a key market for the group in the Eastern European region.
