The Lithuanian group Apex Alliance Hotel Management, which owns and operates four hotels in Bucharest, has completed a €42 million investment to transform the former Marmorosch Bank Palace in central Bucharest into a 5-star hotel under the Autograph Collection brand, part of the Marriott International portfolio.
Marmorosch Bucharest features 217 rooms with high ceilings and large windows, along with the Blank restaurant and Blank Bar & Lounge, which have a combined capacity of nearly 200 guests. Their names were inspired by Mauriciu Blank, one of the founders of the Marmorosch-Blank Bank and the primary architect of its success at the time.
The building on Doamnei Street in Bucharest was constructed between 1915 and 1923 in the Neo-Romanian style, with Byzantine and Gothic influences. The interior is decorated in the Art Nouveau style.
