March and April bookings in Covasna County have dropped to zero

Vice President of the Covasna County Council, Gruman Robert, stated that tourist bookings for March and April have dropped to zero.

According to him, tourism specialists had predicted that 2020 would be a successful year, but the negative impact of the epidemic is being fully felt by those working in this field.

„The most affected will be those in the hotel industry, the public catering industry, and event organizers. The situation became dramatic from one moment to the next, bookings made in the county have practically dropped to zero for March and April, and the summer season is uncertain. The decrease in the number of tourists can lead to the loss of jobs overnight for many people, and this could mean a danger to the livelihood of many families,” stated Gruman Robert.
