Maramureș County and the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism have signed a financing contract through the NRRP worth approximately EUR 118.22 thousand for the project “SMARTMM – Digital transformation of the Maramureș tourist destination.” The initiative aims to create an integrated digital infrastructure and introduce smart tools to support the unified development and promotion of the destination.
The project, carried out in partnership with the Maramureș County Destination Management Organization, benefits from a non-reimbursable financial grant of around EUR 97.23 thousand through Component C11 of the NRRP, supplemented by non-eligible expenses of EUR 20.99 thousand. The main objectives include upgrading the www.visitmaramures.ro platform and implementing a Destination Management System (DMS) to monitor visitor flows and analyze data on local infrastructure and services.
