Lufthansa: extreme net profit growth to 1.7 billion EUR in 2015

In 2015, the airline Lufthansa recorded a net profit of 1.7 billion EUR, an increase compared to the profit of 55 million EUR in 2014.
This difference was also created by the fact that 2014 was affected by exceptional costs, and in 2015 the cost of fuel was lower.
In the fourth quarter, losses decreased to 50 million EUR, from 427 million EUR in the same period of 2014.
Adjusted profit before interest and taxes increased last year by 55.2%, to 1.82 billion EUR.
Sales increased by 6.8%, to 32.1 billion EUR.
For this year, the company estimates fuel-related costs of 4.8 billion EUR, 1 billion EUR below the 2015 level.
