On February 25, the General Assembly for elections took place at the Federation of Tourism Promotion Associations in Romania (FAPT), during which it was established that the Litoral-Delta Dunarii Association will continue to hold the Federation’s presidency for the next 4 years.
The vice-president positions were awarded to the Sibiu and Prahova Promotion Associations, while the Bucovina and Oradea promotion associations are members of the Board of Directors. The FAPT Federation Secretariat will be provided by the Sibiu County Tourism Association.
Corina Martin, President of FAPT, stated that she continues to maintain that the public-private partnership is the key and the engine for the development and promotion of Romanian tourism and will continue to advocate that Romania needs a ministry of tourism to transform tourism into a strategic industry.
Furthermore, the promotion of Romania must pass into the administration of a Romanian Tourism Organization, in a public-private partnership formula.
