More than 560 accommodation or leisure facility projects were in various stages of development at mid-year, according to an IBC Focus analysis, which monitors construction sites nationwide.
Of these, only about 170 are on site, under construction or under development.
In total, the investment needed to realize all these projects amounts to 10bn.

According to data monitored using the site sales platform VICTA.ro, in June, 561 constructions in the Hotel and Relaxation sector were identified nationwide, marking a decrease of 1.78% compared to the previous month.
Altogether, they occupy an area of over 3.16 million square meters, while the value of investments amounts to an estimated amount of 10 bn.

Constanța, had 69 projects in various stages in May.
The following positions are occupied by Bihor, 99 projects and Cluj, 33 projects.
In terms of surface areas allocated for accommodation units, Bucharest County occupies the top position, with a total of 887,000 square meters.
There are also significant areas in Timiș: over 661 thousand square meters.
The majority of accommodation units are only in the early stages of construction in June: 4 in the planning stage, 44 in the design phase, 248 in the authorization process and 53 before execution.
Also identified were 131 projects under construction, 41 under development and 41 completed.
The majority of projects are private: 337 private investments and 202 with public funding.
There was also a percentage decrease of 8.61% in private projects compared to the previous month and an increase of 0.99% in public projects.
Of the projects monitored, 167 fall into the small investment category, 196 are medium-sized and 199 are large.
Among the largest projects in the pipeline is a development in Cluj which includes a hotel, two event halls and 10 tourist cottages.
The Cluj project occupies an area of 16,982 square meters and involves an estimated investment of 47 mil.

Another large-scale project is a holiday apartment complex with wellness center, commercial spaces and restaurants in Constanta.

In Bihor county is the project for a 200-room Novotel hotel with conference center.
The project involves an estimated investment of 72.39 mil.
RON and occupies an area of 4800 square meters.
Over the next two years, more than 20 important openings are expected in Romania in the hospitality sector, totaling almost 2,000 rooms.
Among them is the project developed by One United, which will bring a 100-room luxury brand to Clemanceau – Ennismore Street, while another developer has struck a deal with another luxury Ascott brand, The Crest Collection, which will open a 170-room project near the Parliament Palace in Bucharest. The new Novotel Living collaboration with Accor for Novotel Living will yield a 150-room aparthotel scheduled to be completed in 2025, and the 30-room Corinthia Grand Hotel Boulevard, with 30 rooms, will also be completed in the near future, according to a report by the real estate consulting company.
