Ialomița Cave was rehabilitated with 6.4 million RON

On August 4, the president of the Dâmbovița County Council, Adrian Țuțuianu, announced that the Ialomița Cave in the Bucegi Mountains has been visited by over 13,000 people from its inauguration on July 25 to the present.
Ialomița Cave was inaugurated on July 25, 2015, after undergoing a rehabilitation process with European funds amounting to 6.4 million RON.
The funds necessary for the rehabilitation were accessed by the Dâmbovița County Council through the 2007-2013 Regional Operational Program. The project value was 6.4 million RON, of which 4.6 million RON were non-reimbursable.
The rehabilitation project included modernizing the access path to the cave, the access routes inside, the electrical installations were redone, and a tourist information point was set up. At the entrance to the cave, a stage was installed for officiating religious services or for holding concerts.
Ialomița Cave is open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9:00 AM — 6:00 PM, and the entry fee is 10 RON for adults and 5 RON for children.
