Hotel Lido Phoenicia opens on January 24

On January 24, the Lido Hotel, an emblem of Bucharest since the interwar period, will be reopened after being taken over 2 years ago by businessman Mohammad Murad.
Mohammad Murad, the owner of the Phoenicia hotel chain, leased the hotel for 15 years from the owners, with a right of purchase, and prepared an investment of approximately EUR 5 million in renovation works at that time.
The hotel will be named Lido Phoenicia, will be classified at 4 stars, and will have 115 rooms, including 18 suites.
Inside, some original elements have been preserved, such as the elevator, the ceiling in some rooms, and the stairs.
Older hoteliers remember that in the past, before the Revolution, at Lido, considered at that time a pinnacle of the refinement of Bucharest’s social life, there was the only wave pool in Romania.
