A new investor is coming to the Republic of Moldova. It is the hotel chain Hilton, which forecasts an initial investment of EUR 5 million. The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. The investment agency said that the international Hilton brand will make its debut on the Moldovan hotel market, opening the doors of their first hotel in Chisinau. “The Hilton Garden Inn brand project will be realized through an extensive process of reconstruction of the historic building of Hotel Dacia, located in the historic center of the capital. The transformation of the building will involve its expansion and modernization according to Hilton standards, offering guests premium conditions. The doors of the new hotel are expected to open in 2026,” the Investment Agency said. Dumitru Alaiba said that investors choose to come to a particular country when the economic context is favorable, and lately we are seeing “more and more promising signs of economic recovery”. Hilton Garden Inn is an American full-service hotel chain, owned by Hilton Worldwide, that caters to both business and leisure travelers, offering a superior lodging experience. The network comprises more than 860 properties with 126,086 rooms in 49 countries and territories.
